Frankfurt
Nightlife - Frankfurt is booming city and
the nightlife is full. There are plenty of beer gardens
and bars, and clubs to spend the wee hours of the
night in. A new side to Frankfurt comes alive when
the sun goes down. Just as during the day, Frankfurt
has plenty to do during the evening hours. They have
the clubs, bars, bistros, beer gardens, restaurants
and movie theaters to keep you busy until sunrise.
Each night you could find something new and exciting
to do.
If you are lucky, there will be a Festival
going on when you visit. The festivals really give
you an inside look into the locals and the German
culture. They are a great place to experience the
local cuisines and people.
The Sinkkasten is a dance club and
bar with live bands. They play every time of music
from hip hop to jazz. There are even theme evenings
such as 80's night, Blues Night, and Retro Disco Nights.
This club was started in 1971 and has been a busy
and popular place since opening the doors. Friday
night is of course the busiest night and they stay
open from 9p.m. until 4a.m. The other nights they
don’t stay open as late. There are two bars
located in the club. The Batschkapp Club
is about twenty years old and still popular. The style
is a mixture of heavy metal, rock and hip hop. They
do usually charge a cover charge at the door. Inside
you can chat, drink, and dance. Their website is fully
interactive, with a webcam, chat rooms and a list
of up coming attractions.
When you go walking by the river, you will find many
bistro’s, cafes, beer gardens and restaurants
open there. Frankfurt offers a large range of different
international foods you can try. You can have the
normal German bratwurst and beer or try some Turkish
food. If you are looking to have a great night, hit
all the clubs and bars and not have to worry about
traveling then look for the Nacht der Clubs.
During this time you can get into the top thirty clubs,
no bouncers, no cover charges and you are shuttled
around to all the places. The cost to join is only
10 Euros and you get to drink and not worry all night
long. In the past over 30,000 people have enjoyed
this night.
The Club Das 21 Jahrundert is one
of the more modern clubs. On a Friday or Saturday,
the club can be packed until closing time. The interior
design fits the modern feel with loads of glass and
steel work. There are three different levels, dancing,
restaurant area and bar. Sometimes they have a DJ
and they do play house music. If you plan on going
during the weekend, calling ahead and making a reservations
is always a wise decision.
O'Reilly's is a
popular pub among the English speaking travelers.
They are located right near the main train station
and attract a large mix of people. Enjoy a beer and
watch different international sporting events. They
are open daily and of course later on Friday and Saturday,
they stay open until 3a.m. Not only can you drink
